Steady as she goes

Monday
1,300yd swim
In the office today so went to the community center for a $3 swim sesh. Felt really good and smooth, was averaging about 4:00-4:10 for each interval of 200 yds. Planned on 5 reps but ended up adding a sixth!

3 mi @ 8:53/mi run
Ran at the Eastside Run Club hosted by Beerded Cork for the "Rockers Invades Other Run Clubs" event. Probably ran a little too fast for what was supposed to be more of a recovery run, but ah well! Fun times with cool peeps.

Tuesday
6.6 mi @ 9:28/mi avg with speedwork
Garmin suggested a speed workout of 3x3x15s @ 5:10, so I said ok why not. Ran at Furman in the early hours and ran loops around The Mall doing the 15s surges along the way. It was a challenge but a fun way to break up the 6+ miles, and finished by looping out around the lake (and included The Hill!).

20 min strength
Quick sesh in the work gym, not as much time as I would have liked but got something (better than nothing).

Wednesday
60 min Vinyasa w/ Wednesday @ Soul Yoga
Been a minute since I made it to hot yoga, and man this was so good! Good message, good stretches and strength.
Also, holy crap my abs are sore... I think from sprinting yesterday morning??

2 mi walk
Walked to and from the Greenville Drive baseball game with D and the folks!

Thursday
3 mi XC run
Meant to do more, but the day got away from me and the pizza I had at lunch sat a little too heavy. But hey, one loop of the XC course was better than none!

Friday
1,100 m swim
Long lanes (50m) at the pool today but got a steady 1,000m done in about 25 minutes. Stretch goal was 20 minutes but obviously I'm not quite there!

1.3 mi walk
Walked to and from the Greenville Drive game in the evening.

Saturday
16.2 mi @ 9:00/mi avg
The annual Tap 2 Tap run was this morning, and I decided to run from the finish to the start before the event... so it became Tap 2 Tap 2 Tap! Felt good and strong on the way up although I found a couple of friends doing the same route along the way and they were going muuuuch faster... pace certainly picked up after I met them!

Blue = before, Yellow = after

Got to the Tap in TR with about 15 mins til the return run was to begin. Lots of folks there!
Good group!

The return trip was a bit more chill pace, although still pretty strong. Splits for the two directions were 1:11 up and 1:14 back. Great morning and the weather was perfect!

Sunday
2.5 mi pup walk
After such a big day Saturday, I decided an easy day was the best idea even though I wanted to take advantage of the gorgeous sunny but cool weather! Had lots of walks at baseball practice in the afternoon.

20 min yoga
Really needed to do some stretching so found a good Yoga with Adriene routine on YouTube to get done right before bed. This one was specifically for hamstrings and felt quite nice!

Felt good with this week's consistency and variety of exercise, although missed being on the bike... need to get my tire fixed this week and get back on it!
